Taking to the air for The Billionaire Cowboy's Proposition - research for this #romance series led to new heights. #ReadzTule #BookTwitter #BookBuzz

In the Accidental Billionaire Cowboys series, Cody Tomlinson flies small planes as a crop duster before his family wins a huge lottery.

To research The Billionaire Cowboy's Proposition, I went up in a friend's small plane. Why? Well, let's start with a quick description of the book: Cody Tomlinson and Mallory Moore have struck sparks off each other since high school theater. A decade later, prickly Mallory is working to save the Last Stand, Texas movie theater and convert it for live performances.

Thanks to his family’s enormous lottery win, former crop-dusting pilot Cody has plenty of money to help, but Mallory refuses to be one more person begging for the sexy, scarred cowboy’s attention. Instead, she offers a deal: if Cody invests in the theater, she’ll play the part of his fiancée to ward off fortune hunters. But is Mallory a good enough actor to hide her true feelings? And will Cody plant his feet in Last Stand or get back in his plane and fly away?

The female lead, Mallory, had never been in any kind of plane before Cody took her up in his. I wanted to capture what it would feel like to experience flying this way for the first time.

Here I am in the back seat of this two-seater plane at the small local airport.

“This whole series has been fun, but this story really made me think.” – author Sinclair Jayne

I took pictures of everything so I had them for reference when I was describing Mallory's experience. (It was very hot on the ground, so my hiking pants are unzipped. It got cooler once we were in the air.)

“All of these books have been marvelous, but The Billionaire Cowboys Proposition has something just a little extra. My favorite book of my favorite series by Kris Bock. I would give it more than five stars if I could.” – BookBub review

I also took some scenic pictures. This is in central New Mexico, not Texas an hour from Austin where the Last Stand books are set, but it gave me an idea of her perspective on things from the air.

“I had fun with this story and if you love a well-written, realistic, and believable romance between two people who aren’t always perfect but right for each other… then you’ll love this one.” – Happily Ever After Romance

I've been on at least a hundred commercial flights, but a tiny plane is different. You really notice every movement, like when the plane is tilting in this photo!

I tend to get a little queasy, but it still an amazing experience. My favorite part was seeing clouds right overhead. I'm incredibly lucky that I had a friend with a small plane like this who enjoys taking up passengers! If you ever get a chance to go up in a small plane, give it a try.

“I love returning to this little Texas town and the Tomlinson family. It’s like reconnecting with old friends.” – BookBub review

Who wouldn't want to be a billionaire? Turns out winning the lottery causes as many problems as it solves.

In the Accidental Billionaire Cowboys sweet romance series, a Texas ranching family struggles to maintain their privacy and work ethic after an enormous lottery win. Can they build new dreams and find love amidst the chaos?
